Conference Programme published

The 5th Danube Summit, which takes place between 31 May and 2 June 2010 in Linz and Enns, intends to emphasise the importance of the Danube as an economic artery for the entire region. Linz and Upper Austria have been chosen for this year’s event due to their importance in the Danube logistics.  This three day conference and exhibition will start with a one-day business forum which will include a networking afternoon – river dating – for shippers, freight forwarders, port, terminal and fleet operators.  About 300 participants are expected to attend the Danube Summit this year.

The 5th Danube Summit is organised by EWP Communications in close cooperation with via donau and Ennshafen OÖ GmbH and will take place in the Oberbank Donau Forum in Linz. This year’s event offers a host of opportunities for participants to ask questions and receive information in an interactive and dynamic fashion and will include no less than 5 round-table sessions.

The Conference themes will cover the setting up of a new framework for business on the Danube, new perspectives for infrastructure improvement, climate change and environment protection, economic prospects and business opportunities as well as new cost-effective services for RoRo and containers. In addition to this, there will also be technical site visits and an extensive social programme. An integrated exhibition space is available at the venue for very attractive fees allowing the participating companies to promote their services in the fields of transport and logistics.
